My sisters and I started Double Pom when we realized that our kids’ sports teams needed more playful, practical, and well-made accessories. Their team colors—royal blue and kelly green—formed our initial assortment, along with fuchsia, which is one of our all-time favorite colors, even though it’s not big for sports teams.

Next, we assessed popular colors for the high school, college, and professional teams near our homes and added these colors to our assortment. We introduced pastel shades in spring and deeper tones in fall. When customers requested neutrals, we added them.

Now, we offer 15 colors: Black, gold, garnet, grey, kelly green, dark green, navy blue, royal blue, light blue, light pink, fuchsia, lilac, maroon, purple, and white. These might be the body color or accent color of a sock, or both.

‍

Our ankle socks, which feature two poms per sock, come in 36 pom-pom combinations. Our crew socks come in 30 color combinations, and our hair ties come in 11 pom-pom combinations.

In other words, when you shop our assortment, you have 77 choices. Do you think that’s too many? We hope not, because we're eager to add more.

My favorite Double Pom sock is the ankle sock with fuchsia trim and fuchsia & orange poms. I love the brightness of these colors and the way they look together. I wear them with white sneakers, both on and off the tennis court.
